Suspension of Church Services

Update: 12th January 2021

Suspension of Church Services

The Parish Church Councils of Haxby and Wigginton met today.   It is with regret that, given current Government advice and the local Coronavirus situation in York, we feel we must suspend church services for a short while.   Our worship will continue online or via 'Zoom' and our church buildings will remain open for private prayer.

We are mindful of the Government's 'Stay at Home' message and our desire is to keep our congregations and the local community safe.   We appreciate that this decision will disappoint some of you but we also feel it is the most responsible action to take until the Government reviews the situation in mid-February.  Both Church Councils will also review the situation at this time in the hope that we can resume church services again.

Our churches will open for private prayer as follows:

St Mary's Church Haxby - Tuesdays and Fridays, 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

St Nicholas' Church Wigginton - Mondays and Thursdays, 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

Details of our online services will be posted on the website
